Challenges
A highly functional, trusted, and large ecosystem
ODEM is focused on making education available, affordable, and valuable for everyone. Four distinct but very connected archetypes will live in the ODEM Trust Network: students, educators, educational institutions, and employers.
- Make it easy to understand ODEM’s value through the functionality and presentation.
- Help users understand their path through ODEM and how they can create value for themselves.
- Design it for a global audience.
- Integrate blockchain technology to create efficiencies and increase value.
- With the various access profiles, security, and the UX/UI of a highly functional and overlapping ecosystem, it would be challenging to keep it concise while delivering a myriad of functionality to many different personas.
The Solution
Allow students, educators, employers, and educational institutions to experience every part of ODEM so they can understand its full potential:
- Serve four archetypes and multiple personas with unique services, functionality, and communication.
- A simple user profile creates limited access to everything.
- Access is only restricted by a persona’s required level of involvement at any point.
- A user can have multiple account types, i.e., an Educator can be a Student, and an Educational institution is often an Employer.
Students and Educators
Amplifying a natural connection
Helping students and educators easily navigate and experience value from the many functionalities and flows was our greatest challenge. With students and educators inexorably connected, we wanted to amplify that with a more direct and immediate connection.
- Direct messaging for Q&A with educators.
- Customized education requests.
- Merit-based educator ratings based on these system-based parameters and student opinion:
- Student education success ratio.
- Student’s future success.
- Education grants for qualifying students.
- Student and Educator performance history:

The ODEM Professional Passport
Connecting students and employers
The ODEM Passport is designed to create a professional standard where resumes are unnecessary. It’s wholly merit-based and verified. A great cover letter and massaging the facts are unnecessary.
Through the ODEM Employer Portal, students and job seekers can efficiently connect to ODEM-verified employers. The passport further simplifies the job hunt with predefined searches, availability, and requirements.
Additionally, the Student portal serves as a tool to understand the most efficient path to achieve career goals: job trends, remedial education requirements, and required skills and verifications.
Educators
A new revenue streams for existing and new educational content
ODEM gave educators the opportunity to repurpose existing content or create new courses. Whether it was in-person, remote, or video-based, Educators could deliver affordable education while earning additional income.
Educational Institutions
To create a 360° solution, ODEM developed a Blockchain certificate solution that targeted educational institutions. With automated certificate production, API connection to existing data, and certificate generation, distribution was faster, more secure, and more reliable than ever before.
